Melania Leșe is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Political Science at Babeș-Bolyai University, where she also earned her degrees in Law and Political Science. Since 2019, she has served as the Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of Democracy, holding a managerial and coordination role in multiple research projects at both national and European/cross-country levels. Her work spans Education, Energy Poverty, and Civil Society, integrating research with institutional background analyses, policy-making, human rights, and the ethical and legal dimensions of data privacy.

In addition to her executive role, Melania is an associate lecturer in the Departments of Political Science and Communication and Public Relations at FSPAC, Babeș-Bolyai University. Her research interests include education, civil society, the protection of civil rights and freedoms, energy poverty, and just transition, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
